Areas of critical project management activities and responsibilities
Performance domains are groups of related activities that are critical for the effective delivery of project outcomes. Unlike knowledge areas, performance domains are integrated and interact with each other throughout the project. The eight performance domains collectively represent the holistic system needed to manage projects effectively.
Each performance domain addresses specific project management activities, with outcomes that indicate when the domain is working effectively. The domains are context-dependent — the relative emphasis placed on each will vary based on the project's characteristics, delivery approach, and organisational context.
